Occupational Therapy Jobs
Would you like to work with us?
Occupational therapy jobs are available in the Hunter Region with Clever Bees!
- Would you like a flexible working role that fits in with you and your other life commitments?
- Would you like to join a supportive work-family that values positivity, shares in each others’ successes and is there for each other when needed?
- Do you want to work where life-long learning is valued and provided?
- Do you want to have fun whilst making a difference in the lives of the children and families you support - AND get paid well whilst you do it!?
If so, then we are looking for you! We are always searching for our next Occupational Therapist, who is passionate about helping children and their families achieve their goals. Our preferred applicants like having fun and working within a supportive team environment.
Clever Bees provides occupational therapy to children and their families, aiming to achieve THEIR goals. We’ve been providing mobile supports for the past six years to children in the Newcastle, Port Stephens, Maitland, Hunter and Lake Macquarie areas. Actually, we were the first completely mobile OT practice working with children in our area! We also provide an outreach service to the Central West of NSW and Telehealth throughout Australia. We also provide clinic-based supports to children from our Williamtown location.
Your role with us
If this is already sounding like your dream job, here are some more extra benefits:
- excellent pay package (above Award)
- company car (with fuel card)
- MacBook and iPad
- Super generous PD budget, plus access to additional team-based professional development and opportunities for personal development too! (that’s in addition to all the supervision and mentoring we’ve already mentioned)
- Access to our happiness program (including EAP/psychology support, monthly healthy snack bags and fun team building activities)
You would be able to work flexible hours across the working week. It’s really important to us that everyone gets the time to do what they want and need to do outside of work too! Working alongside our other occupational therapists and occupational therapy assistants, you would perform a mixture of:
- clinic-based days, mobile days seeing children in schools
- pre-schools/childcare centres
- at home and in the community
- working from home (and yes, it’s absolutely ok to do your admin work in your PJs!)
The right applicant will receive regular scheduled external supervision (frequency depending on experience and confidence) and mentoring within our team. Additionally, you will have access to our senior clinicians for on-the-go questions when they come up too. We want all our staff to feel confident and supported in what they do and go above and beyond to make sure this happens.
You’ll get to participate in our daily team catch-ups, as well as our team meetings, planning days, clinical team mentoring sessions, in addition to both internal and external professional development opportunities. When we said we make sure all our team members feel confident and supported, we weren’t kidding!
We are looking for an Occupational Therapist to fit within our team.
Our values and team culture are really important to us, so when looking for our next OT, we are searching for someone who would go above and beyond to help their clients and team mates; thinks outside-the-box, and is solutions-focused; is an excellent communicator and likes to take the time to connect with others, with both clients and team mates; has a positive outlook on life; and loves to be happy, have fun and smile!
And of course, all the usual stuff like:
- Qualification as an Occupational Therapist
- AHPRA registration
- NSW Driver's Licence
- Working with children check
- Police check
- NDIS worker screening check - or willingness to get one.
